About The Position

To direct all Loss Prevention functions in the hotel ensuring a safe and secure environment. This role involves ensuring accuracy and timely submission of reports, investigating incidents, maintaining surveillance and key control programs, and managing administrative duties for the Loss Prevention department.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Loss Prevention standards are properly followed.
  • Reviews all reports completed by Loss Prevention officers to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  • Ensures thorough and complete investigation for all incidents incurred by guests and associates (i.e. losses, thefts, accidents, and acts of violence).
  • Maintains guest room surveillance procedures.
  • Maintains an effective key control program.
  • Ensures that shift personnel are properly assigned at all times.
  • Responsible for payroll, scheduling and other administrative duties.
  • Attends all hotel meetings such as evening stand up, Ops, Safety Committee, Rooms Division, and bi-weekly staff meeting.
  • Brief on-coming shift officer and the MOD on all Loss Prevention issues prior to leaving property.
  • Maintain high visibility in the lobby and other public areas, especially during busy periods.
  • Function as MOD on weekends.
  • Respond to all fire and medical emergencies.
  • Develop department policies and procedures.
