About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Labor & Delivery to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) department. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional maternal and newborn care while overseeing clinical operations, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and departmental performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Active Colorado RN License or ability to obtain Colorado RN License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Minimum 10 years of Labor & Delivery clinical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience
  • Experience managing staff, quality initiatives, budgets, and operational performance
  • Strong understanding of maternal-child health and women's services

  • Additional Maternal/Newborn certifications
  • Extensive leadership experience within Women's Services or LDRP environments
  • Proven success leading quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Labor & Delivery department
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered maternal and newborn care
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain nursing and clinical staff
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental resource allocation
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and hospital leadership
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement process improvements
  • Manage departmental budgets and operational efficiency
  • Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, clinical excellence, and professional growth
