About The Position

The IT Director is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all information technology operations for Fitz Casino & Hotel. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all technology systems that support casino gaming, hotel operations, food and beverage, surveillance, finance, and administrative departments. The IT Director leads the on-property IT team, manages vendor relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides strategic technology solutions that enhance operational performance and guest service. Familiarity with gaming and hospitality systems such as Aristocrat Gaming is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in casino, hospitality, or highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, Windows Server and Active Directory, virtualization technologies, cloud services, backup and recovery systems, and database management.
  • Familiarity with gaming and hospitality systems such as Aristocrat Gaming is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Mississippi Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all property technology systems, including casino management systems, slot systems, hotel property management systems, point-of-sale systems, network infrastructure, telephone systems, surveillance support systems, and desktop/mobile devices.
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and business continuity.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage IT budgets, capital expenditures, and technology purchasing.
  • Supervise and develop IT team members, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Coordinate software upgrades, hardware installations, and maintenance projects.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding emerging technologies and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Mississippi Gaming Commission regulations and company policies.
  • Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and technical support relationships.
  • Respond to and resolve critical system outages and security incidents.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and warranties.
  • Support new openings, renovations, and special projects involving technology systems.
  • Train team members on technology policies and best practices.
