About The Position

The Director of Information Technology is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the company’s IT ecosystem – including infrastructure, cloud systems, networks, and end-user support. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of all technology platforms. As a cross-functional partner, the Director of IT works closely with Business Systems, Data and Analytics, Finance, Operations, People, Sales, and Leadership to optimize the technology stack, support business growth, and ensure data integrity and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will effectively manage commercial needs with business risks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise technology, or IT (Information Technology) leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software and complex software ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, data governance, and enterprise architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technology initiatives and system implementations.
  • Experience implementing ITSM and ITAM frameworks to optimize service delivery, user lifecycle management, vendor relationships, and control software licensing and technology spend.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
  • Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Will be required to submit to a background check
  • Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, and Microsoft Microsoft 365 or Azure preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-state, multi-entity, or regulated environments preferred.
  • ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, system capabilities, and digital transformation.
  • Lead IT roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including networks, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity, end-user support, and vendor relations, and user lifecycle management.
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Establish IT policies, standards, and controls to support secure and efficient operations.
  • Partner with business systems to ensure appropriate security and user management, including ERP, HRIS, CRM, payroll, finance, manufacturing, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure systems are properly integrated, scalable, and configured to support business processes across departments.
  • Coordinate on vendor relationships for entire technology stack
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, People, Legal, and Compliance teams to support operational excellence and regulatory requirements.
  • Support integrations related to acquisitions, reorganizations, and business expansions.
  • Translate business needs into technology solutions that are practical, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT and business systems team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear service standards, escalation processes, and performance expectations.
  • Support a culture of security awareness, innovation, and operational discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
  • Oversee cybersecurity risk management, audits, and remediation efforts
  • Maintain documentation and controls to support internal and external audits.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
