About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Director of IT to lead technology operations for a newly combined global organization. This role carries a dual mandate: completing a critical integration effort over the next 8–12 months and, more importantly, building and running a scalable, high-performing IT function for the long term. You will lead a globally distributed team of ~14 IT professionals across the U.S., India, China, and Mexico, while owning the performance, reliability, and evolution of the company’s technology environment. This is not a purely managerial role—we are looking for a leader who can operate at both a strategic and technical level, directly engaging in systems configuration, troubleshooting, and architectural decision-making.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with:
  • CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR, policies, response workflows)
  • Next-generation SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Chronicle, Elastic, Falcon LogScale)
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity migrations
  • Intune endpoint management across Apple and Windows devices
  • Microsoft 365 & Slack Enterprise Grid administration
  • Strong foundation in:
  • DNS, SaaS environments, and enterprise IT operations
  • Large-scale migrations and system integrations
  • 10+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems engineering
  • 5+ years managing IT teams (people leadership required)
  • Experience supporting 200+ user environments across multiple locations
  • Proven experience in mergers, acquisitions, or major IT consolidations
  • Service-first mindset with strong accountability
  • Hands-on, no-ego approach to leadership
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias toward action
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day IT operations ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and performant
  • Establish service levels and build a responsive, unified IT support experience
  • Lead incident management processes, including escalation and communication protocols
  • Proactively monitor and improve system health and performance
  • Drive completion of a major technology integration (8–12 months), including:
  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID consolidation
  • Migration from Google Workspace
  • Okta decommissioning
  • CrowdStrike Falcon deployment
  • Next-gen SIEM implementation
  • Ensure business continuity, quality, and timeline accountability throughout
  • Own Entra ID (Azure AD), including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and provisioning
  • Manage Intune across macOS, iOS, and Windows environments
  • Lead CrowdStrike Falcon operations and SIEM strategy, including threat detection and response
  • Oversee SOC strategy and vendor partnerships
  • Administer Slack Enterprise Grid, Microsoft 365, and meeting platforms (Teams/Zoom)
  • Ensure tools are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs
  • Lead and unify a global IT team across legacy organizations
  • Build a strong service-oriented culture and eliminate “us vs. them” dynamics
  • Mentor team members and identify future hiring needs
  • Own vendor relationships (Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Slack, etc.)
  • Manage IT budget, optimize costs, and lead contract negotiations
  • Provide visibility into IT spend and cost-saving opportunities

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical and dental coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Generous PTO and leave programs
