The IT Director provides hands-on technical leadership to maintain and optimize Forge Health's existing IT systems, EMR (Kipu preferred), and infrastructure. This role manages our internal IT team (DBA/data, helpdesk/systems admin, security), ensures system reliability, cybersecurity, and clinical/RCM dashboard development to drive operational performance.​

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related technical field.
  • 7–10 years IT experience with hands-on technical execution (SQL, EHR support, cybersecurity, helpdesk management), ideally in healthcare with Kipu EMR/RCM.
  • 3+ years supervising small technical teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability developing clinical/RCM dashboards and using data to drive performance improvements.
  • Deep technical expertise in SQL, EHR systems (Kipu preferred), systems administration, and cybersecurity tools.
  • Strong project management skills for leading optimization initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to translate clinical/operational needs into technical solutions and dashboard insights.

Responsibilities

  • Systems maintenance and optimization
  • Maintain and optimize current IT systems, EMR (Kipu EMR/RCM experience preferred), databases (SQL), and infrastructure for reliability, performance, and clinical usability.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for EMR workflows, helpdesk ticketing, systems administration, and cybersecurity tools to optimize efficiency and support care delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across clinical, RCM, and operational systems, ensuring seamless access for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Team leadership and supervision
  • Manage and develop the IT team (DBA/data, helpdesk/systems admin, security), setting priorities, delegating tasks, and providing technical guidance.
  • Oversee helpdesk operations, incident response, user training, and security monitoring to maintain system uptime and compliance.
  • Data, dashboards, and analytics
  • Develop and maintain clinical utilization and RCM dashboards using SQL and existing tools, interpreting metrics to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clinical, finance, and front end operations leaders to translate dashboard insights into actionable system/process enhancements.
  • Project management and compliance
  • Lead IT projects focused on system optimization, upgrades, and workflow improvements using strong project management skills.
  • Ensure IT systems support HIPAA compliance, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements for behavioral health operations.
