About The Position

The Director of IT – Colibrium Additive is a key member of both the Colibrium Additive leadership team and the Digital Technology (DT) leadership team for GE Propulsion & Additive Technologies (P&AT) within GE Aerospace. This role is responsible for defining and executing the IT and digital technology strategy for Colibrium Additive, ensuring seamless integration of IT systems, optimizing digital processes, strengthening cyber security, and enabling business growth through technology. The Director will lead a global IT team, partner closely with business and functional leaders, and ensure that technology investments are aligned to business outcomes, customer value, and GE Aerospace’s priorities in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This role reports functionally to the CIO P&AT operationally to the CEO of Colibrium Additive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 11 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 13 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT or a closely related digital technology domain
  • Significant leadership experience leading IT or DT professionals and teams
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or one of the designated alternative locations is required.
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, or high-technology environments, ideally with exposure to additive manufacturing or advanced engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of the P&AT DT leadership team and the Colibrium Additive leadership team, providing thought leadership on technology strategy and digital transformation.
  • Partner with business, operational, engineering, and functional leaders to ensure technology investments are prioritized and governed to drive measurable business, customer, and operational value.
  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership across Sales, HR, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering to align priorities, remove barriers, and deliver transformation outcomes.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of IT systems, networks, applications, and platforms.
  • Drive reliable IT service delivery for Colibrium Additive across site support and enterprise applications, including operational cadence, escalation management, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and compliance of the technology landscape, including on-premise and cloud environments, in alignment with GE Aerospace DT standards and policies.
  • Define an AI strategy and implementation roadmap for Colibrium Additive, including use cases that drive productivity, safety, quality, and customer value.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced digital tools, including cloud solutions, data platforms, analytics, automation, and industrial/digital thread capabilities that support additive manufacturing.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of IT and DT professionals and managed service partners, fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Build organizational capabilities and execution discipline (operating rhythm, governance, and delivery practices) in areas such as cloud, data & analytics, product/program delivery, and service management.
  • Manage IT budget for Colibrium Additive (typically $5–15M) with a strong focus on cost optimization, productivity, and value realization.
  • Establish and manage vendor and service provider relationships, ensuring performance, service quality, and commercial value (including contracts, SLAs, renewals, and cost controls).
  • Partner with GE Aerospace cyber and compliance teams to ensure adherence to IT security, export control, data privacy, and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure local adoption and compliance with GE Aerospace security standards and controls; cybersecurity operations and policy ownership are managed centrally.
