About The Position

The Director of IT will be responsible for the definition and delivery of the overall technology strategy. This role involves managing and overseeing the relationship with RY’s Managed Service Provider, developing and executing a multi-year IT strategic roadmap aligned to business growth objectives and field operations, and establishing IT governance frameworks, policies, and security standards appropriate for a $1B+ contractor. The Director will also oversee and continuously improve network, server, cloud, and end-user computing environments across all office and field locations, and partner with project management, estimating, and field operations teams to understand workflows and identify technology that drives efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and elevating an existing IT team, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to present to C-suite and board-level stakeholders and translate IT concepts for nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience with construction ERP systems (Vista by Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, CMiC, Procore, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a construction, engineering, real estate development, or asset-heavy industry strongly preferred.
