Today, we serve over 4,000 children and teens annually through prevention, treatment, and outreach programs. Position Overview: Director of Iowa Afterschool Alliance As the Director of Iowa Afterschool Alliance, you will be providing statewide leadership for the Iowa Afterschool Alliance. You will be leading strategy, advocacy, partnerships, professional development, communications, grant development, and operational oversight to advance high-quality out-of-school-time opportunities across Iowa.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in youth out-of-school-time, human services, or related field, including supervision of leaders
Active professional licensure required when program responsibilities include oversight, supervision, or services governed by licensure standards
Ability to maintain required certifications, credentials, or program-specific qualifications within a timeframe established by the organization or regulatory requirements
Valid driver license and ability to meet agency driving requirements when driving is required for program operations

Responsibilities

Lead statewide advocacy initiatives pertaining to youth and out-of-school time issues or concerns
Represent the Alliance with legislators, agencies, and national partners
Develop partnerships with schools, nonprofits, state agencies, higher education, business, and philanthropy
Manage budget, grants, contract, reporting, and staff
Oversee marketing, website, newsletter, and member communications
