A privately owned agricultural grower and distributor in California's Central Valley is seeking a Director of International Finance. The company has a twenty-year history, evolving from a local farming venture into a global operation encompassing growing, packing, and worldwide sales, with significant revenue and farming holdings across the Americas and beyond. This leadership role is crucial for connecting corporate leadership with overseas farming and sales teams, providing financial discipline, strategic insight, and operational understanding to an ambitious organization. The Director will serve as the primary finance liaison between corporate leadership and international farming and sales activities. Key responsibilities include mitigating financial risks associated with currency fluctuations, cross-border investments, and multi-entity structures across various jurisdictions. The role involves shaping and executing company-wide financial strategies to support international operations, growth, and earnings objectives. Additionally, the Director will oversee international financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation, providing executive leadership with data-driven financial guidance for strategic decision-making. Support for mergers, acquisitions, and other cross-border ventures will also be required, along with coaching and developing regional finance teams to ensure consistency and efficiency. The position demands the production of accurate financial reports compliant with international accounting standards and local regulations.
