About The Position

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Director of Infrastructure & Operations to support a leading healthcare organization in Texas. This highly visible leadership position will be responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing operations of enterprise technology infrastructure supporting a complex healthcare environment. The Director will oversee infrastructure spanning Epic EHR, cloud and on-premises environments, networking, data center, endpoints, telecommunications, audio-visual technologies, and end-user support services. This individual will also play a key leadership role in planning and delivering the technology infrastructure required for a new hospital, from design and construction through commissioning and operational readiness. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, service-oriented technology leader with significant experience leading infrastructure within a hospital or healthcare provider environment, strong Epic infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to build scalable operations while partnering across clinical, technical, executive, and vendor teams. This is a direct-hire opportunity that will require on-site presence in Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure leadership experience, including responsibility for teams and enterprise technology operations.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure and support leadership within a healthcare provider or hospital environment.
  • 4+ years supporting infrastructure for an Epic EHR environment, with knowledge of functions such as ECSA, WSSA, ODBA, or related Epic infrastructure disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise end-user support/service delivery and improving service-level and customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, endpoint technologies, data center operations, and IT service management.
  • Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, contracts, and managed service providers.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience supporting Epic EHR infrastructure, including server management, client deployment, and hosting vendor oversight.
  • Experience with new hospital or healthcare facility infrastructure design, buildout, and operational transition.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Azure in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working within an academic medical center supporting clinical care, medical education, and research.
  • Experience collaborating with health system, university, or enterprise IT organizations in shared infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with biomedical device network integration and healthcare-specific infrastructure standards.
  • ITIL, Microsoft Azure, PMP, TOGAF, and/or CISSP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise infrastructure strategy across cloud, network, data center, endpoints, telecommunications, audio-visual, and related technologies.
  • Lead technology infrastructure planning, design, and implementation for a new hospital, partnering with clinical leadership, architects, construction teams, vendors, and enterprise technology teams.
  • Own infrastructure supporting Epic EHR and Epic-adjacent systems, including oversight of hosting partners, SLAs, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and Epic infrastructure functions such as ECSA and WSSA.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, governance, security, capacity planning, cost optimization, and integration with on-premises and hosted environments.
  • Oversee LAN, WAN, wireless, data center, endpoint, virtual desktop, and device lifecycle strategies supporting clinical and business operations.
  • Lead end-user technology support and service delivery, establishing measurable standards around customer satisfaction, resolution times, service levels, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop 24x365 infrastructure and support models appropriate for hospital operations and clinical-critical systems.
  • Lead infrastructure business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including RTO/RPO standards, testing, failover procedures, and incident readiness.
  • Manage infrastructure budgets, strategic technology investments, vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level performance.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing infrastructure and support organization while serving as an escalation point for critical technology incidents.
