About The Position

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for implementing and operationalizing enterprise infrastructure and operation following guideline set out in the OPTN Policy 3.1 which is based on NIST 800-171v2 controls and as defined by the Vice President of Information Technology & Security. Manages the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Ensures the reliability and continuous availability of 24/7 information systems. This role ensures infrastructure reliability, control effectiveness, disaster recovery readiness, and data retention enforcement in support of regulatory and operational requirements. Has company-wide responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local authorities and for ensuring individual and departmental staff compliance with all Network policies and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare IT or regulated environments required.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading infrastructure or operations teams of 10–15 staff members required.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing operational controls in support of regulatory requirements.
  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT,CPT,STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and operate operations through CI/CD via Azure DevOps agents
  • Implement and operate infrastructure and data controls aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Operationalize logging, auditability, access control, and retention mechanisms.
  • Execute disaster recovery testing and maintain defined RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Provide operational reporting on control effectiveness, technical debt, and remediation progress.
  • Oversee vulnerability management, patching discipline, and backup operations.
  • Lead infrastructure and operations teams, ensuring accountability and documentation standards.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Ensures the reliability and continuous availability of 24/7 information systems.
  • Manages IT staff including professional training and development. Provides regular job performance feedback and develops performance goals quarterly through performance management system.
  • Escalate identified compliance or operational risks to the Vice President.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
