About The Position

DV Trading is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function across a fast-paced proprietary trading environment. This individual will serve as a key business partner to leadership, employee engagement, organizational development, and operational excellence across the firm. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in human resources leadership, experience supporting high-performance teams, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. Prior experience within the trading, financial services, fintech, or broader capital markets industry is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or related people operations roles
  • Previous HR leadership experience required
  • Industry experience within proprietary trading, hedge funds, financial services, fintech, or capital markets strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations
  • Experience supporting high-growth, fast-paced, or performance-driven organizations
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Experience with HRIS systems, compensation planning, and recruiting processes
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on organizational design, employee development, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, including benchmarking and market competitiveness
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to support strategic decision-making
  • Assist with workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives
  • Partners with external vendors and advisors as needed for benefits, immigration, payroll, and compliance matters
  • Support international HR initiatives and expansion efforts where applicable
