Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or equivalent experience. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential required
  • A minimum of two years of human resource management and benefit experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software

Responsibilities

  • Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations
  • Oversee the daily workflow and supervision of the HR department
  • Create and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with leadership to determine future staffing needs and create long-term hiring plans, rather than just reacting to open roles
  • Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates to determine their suitability for specific roles
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the organization’s employer brand to attract top talent
  • Present job offers and facilitates the offer acceptance process
  • Use HRIS technology to analyze hiring efficiency, reducing the time-to-hire and increasing quality of hire
  • Collaborate with HR staff and program managers to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires
  • Implement employee engagement strategies to increase employee morale and retain top talent
  • Analyze turnover data to understand trends and identify specific departments or roles with high attrition
  • Leverage AI to aid in accelerating talent acquisition, improving workforce planning, and streamlining administrative processes
  • Conduct stay interviews to proactively increase employee retention and engagement
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to continually optimize the HR department
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws
  • Other duties as assigned by the CHRO
