About The Position

Gateway Supply, a trusted leader in HVAC and plumbing supplies, is seeking a strategic and people-focused Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and help shape the future of our workforce. This is an opportunity to influence company culture, develop talent strategies, strengthen employee engagement, and support business growth across our organization. As our Director of Human Resources, you will provide leadership across all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, training, and organizational development. You will partner closely with executive leadership and managers to build a high-performing workforce and create a positive employee experience that supports Gateway Supply’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, including management of multiple HR disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executives, managers, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute human resources initiatives that align with business objectives and support organizational growth.
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and employer branding efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee programs, communication initiatives, recognition efforts, and engagement strategies.
  • Guide managers and employees through workplace issues, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and performance management.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while updating policies, procedures, and HR practices as needed.
  • Lead training, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management programs that strengthen organizational capability.
  • Collaborate with parent and sister companies’ leadership to ensure HR strategies, policies, talent initiatives, and compliance practices are aligned with corporate standards while effectively supporting local business objectives.
