Under the direction of the assigned manager, plan, direct, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of the Human Resources Department including recruitment and employment, personnel operations, employee health and welfare programs, employee and labor relations, Worker's Compensation, benefits and leaves, ADA compliance, EEO, and risk management; assist in maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and polices coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management. This is a management level class allocated only to the Human Resources Department. The Director of Human Resources and Risk Management provides direct management and oversight over assigned human resource areas and functions for the District.
