The City of Fairfield is seeking an exceptional housing professional to help shape the future of housing and neighborhood vitality, and to address homelessness and its impacts, in a diverse and growing community at the heart of Solano County. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact in a city committed to supporting a thriving, inclusive community. Reporting directly to the City Manager and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Housing Services Director will lead a multifaceted department overseeing affordable housing, the Housing Authority, homeless services, and key federal and state housing programs. From advancing affordable housing developments and tax credit projects to strengthening homelessness response and shaping long-term housing strategies, this role sits at the center of some of Fairfield’s most visible and important priorities. This is a rare opportunity for a housing professional who wants to do meaningful work with real impact. Fairfield seeks a collaborative, politically astute, and emotionally intelligent leader who brings both technical depth and strong people leadership.
