About The Position

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for leading all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction throughout the resort. This leader drives brand standards across guest rooms, public spaces, spa/program laundry, uniforms, and heart-of-house areas while developing a high-performing team focused on wellness-inspired hospitality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, and public area maintenance
  • Experience managing labor costs, inventories, budgets, and departmental financial performance
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop large teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with hotel systems and housekeeping management software preferred
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily housekeeping and laundry operations for guest rooms, public areas, spa/program linens, uniforms, and F&B support
  • Ensure all guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet CIVANA brand and cleanliness standards
  • Oversee heart-of-house cleanliness, organization, and sanitation programs
  • Manage housekeeping labor, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and departmental P&L performance
  • Supervise and support managers, supervisors, room attendants, housepersons, and night cleaning teams
  • Monitor room readiness, quality inspections, and guest service recovery efforts
  • Partner cross-functionally with Front Office, Engineering, Spa, and F&B teams to support operational excellence
  • Manage vendor relationships, laundry operations, supplies, and invoicing processes
  • Drive Forbes/service culture initiatives, training, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and resort operating standards
