About The Position

The Director of Information Technology & Systems (IT&S) provides leadership, strategic planning, and oversight of all IT operations to support both clinical and business functions within the hospital and associated clinics. This role is responsible for managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, end-user services, project management, and compliance with IT standards and regulations. The Director ensures effective use of technology in support of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency, while fostering innovation and aligning IT initiatives with the overall mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a healthcare-related business field (Required)
  • Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare IT with progressive leadership responsibilities required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and healthcare EHR systems
  • Ability to respond to IT emergencies and support 24/7 IT operations

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field (Preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL-F, or vendor-specific technical certifications (Preferred)
  • Prior senior-level IT leadership experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Experience with clinical systems, infrastructure, budgeting and compliance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute hospital and clinic IT strategies aligned with enterprise objectives
  • Lead IT staff, projects, vendors, and operations, ensuring performance standards are met
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, application support, and disaster recovery plans
  • Support end-user computing including helpdesk, training, and device management
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards including HIPAA compliance
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support clinical, operational, and financial IT initiatives
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, and resource allocations to maximize cost-effectiveness
  • Serve as the hospital’s Facility Information Security Officer
  • Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to enhance operational and clinical performance
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents and coordination of change management processes
  • Represent the hospital in enterprise-level IT committees, initiatives, and governance bodies
