About The Position

Shelf is the operating system for agentic AI: a platform that models your policies, workflows, and operational logic into an AI Data Model so AI agents don't just respond—they reason. The result is AI that understands how your business actually operates and delivers precise, compliant, and auditable outcomes at scale. Leading enterprises including Amazon, Nespresso, HelloFresh, and KeyBank use Shelf to power AI agents that automate complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and transform manual processes into intelligent automation. We're partnered with Microsoft, Salesforce, OpenAI, Snowflake, and Databricks, and have been recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor and by IDC as an Innovator for our approach to enterprise AI. Shelf is operating in one of the fastest-moving markets in the world, and we’re at an inflection point. We have strong customers, product-market fit, and positioning. Now we’re looking for exceptional operators to help accelerate growth alongside the founders and leadership team. This is not a traditional functional role. You’ll join the core team at a moment where every decision materially shapes the company’s trajectory.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of experience with the ability to contribute across functions from day one
  • Background in team sports or other highly competitive environments; collaborative, resilient, and team-first
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a rigorous educational foundation
  • Experience in top-tier consulting, strategy, or similarly demanding problem-solving environments
  • Early-stage startup experience, ideally as a founder, founding team member, or early operator
  • Based in or near New York City and excited to work in person with the team
  • You think from first principles and operate comfortably in ambiguity
  • You’re hands-on, low ego, and focused on impact over titles
  • You use AI, automation, and modern tooling as leverage, not novelty
  • You’re a strong writer who can adapt messaging across audiences and channels
  • You bring original ideas, strong creative instincts, and clear points of view
  • You move quickly, iterate fast, and bias toward execution over perfection
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments and are motivated by building something meaningful alongside exceptional people

Responsibilities

  • Act as a high-leverage utility player on the core team. Turn ambiguous asks into finished deliverables across growth, operations, content, events, systems, and strategy.
  • Take a one-line idea from leadership and turn it into execution
  • Build campaigns, narratives, workflows, analyses, and experiments from scratch
  • Bring strong creative instincts across copy, messaging, positioning, and brand
  • Think from first principles and move quickly without waiting for perfect clarity
  • Leverage AI, automation, and modern tooling to operate with outsized impact.
  • Build systems that automate repetitive work and increase company throughput
  • Use tools like n8n, Zapier, Claude, Clay, Salesforce, Pardot, and HockeyStack
  • Partner with engineering and product on integrations and workflow automation
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and identify what creates real leverage
  • Own growth initiatives end-to-end, from strategy through execution and measurement.
  • Launch and optimize pipeline-generating campaigns across paid, outbound, and experimental channels
  • Run rapid growth experiments and double down on what works
  • Build outbound and ABM programs using tools like Lemlist, Clay, ZoomInfo, and Pardot
  • Identify unconventional growth opportunities others overlook
  • Help define how Shelf communicates its value to the market.
  • Write landing pages, ad copy, sales collateral, customer communications, and executive content
  • Translate complex product concepts into clear, compelling messaging
  • Support launches, vertical positioning, and competitive narratives
  • Develop customer stories, proof points, and brand content
  • Own the infrastructure behind growth execution and reporting.
  • Maintain automation workflows and GTM systems
  • Build attribution and reporting across Salesforce, HockeyStack, and Gong
  • Improve CRM hygiene, enrichment, and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to the growth of Augmented U and related community efforts
  • Support executive dinners, field events, and industry conferences
  • Help execute high-quality experiences across content, events, and follow-up

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Meaningful equity ownership through stock options
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
