About The Position

A Director of Growth and Development is a senior leadership role that bridges the gap between community outreach and clinical entry. They manage the organization’s marketing and admissions relationships with existing and new referral sources. They create strategic marketing plans, oversee admissions and marketing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and analyze market trends to achieve facility revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in healthcare business development, marketing, or admissions, preferably in behavioral health.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Human Services field, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Core interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong knowledge of HIPPA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and behavioral health licensing standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Confidentiality and professionalism expectations
  • Comfort presenting to large groups of medical professionals or community leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness and generate referrals from hospitals, clinicians, and community organizations.
  • Manage the behavioral health intake team to ensure smooth patient onboarding, including intake, clinical assessment, and bed management.
  • Cultivate professional relationships with referral sources, families, and community partners.
  • Ensure admissions procedures comply with ethical standards, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
  • Analyze market data to refine referral strategies and meet facility census/revenue goals.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and supervise and support admissions and marketing personnel to meet performance standards.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability, measure success and align team performance with organizational growth, census, and revenue goals.
  • Partner effectively across all departments including clinical, medical, quality assurance, operations, finance, HR, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment of growth initiatives, support organizational priorities, and foster a cohesive, collaborative culture that advances overall mission and performance.
