We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Group Sales to join our team and drive group revenue growth for our property. As the Director of Group Sales, you will work tactically within the scope of direction from the Director of Sales. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives and building strong relationships with clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience
  • Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
  • Business communication skills written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Present a professional appearance and confidence
  • Ability to execute a Sales and Marketing Plan to enhance revenue
  • Conflict management skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to direct, motivate, and communicate effectively with sales department and public to meet and exceed goals
  • Confident and professional appearance

Responsibilities

  • Maximize profit by effectively supervising sales force of the department
  • Develop and implement comprehensive group sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive proactive sales efforts to expand our customer base
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify areas for growth and innovation
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to senior management
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in professional development activities to enhance sales skills and knowledge
