About The Position

The Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Director of Group Living at The Oaks Academy in Brownwood, Texas. The Oaks Academy is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young men (13-17), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features group, individual, and family therapy, on-site schooling, individual dorm rooms, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Requirements

Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
Have a BA/BS in a related field.
Have 4 years of related experience in residential facility management.
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

Oversee residential services and living units.
Serve as the Program Director in his/her absence.
Manage all available resources in a manner that provides the students with the highest level of care.
Ensure the Rite of Passage program is being implemented in accordance with ROP policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local licensing requirements.
Supervise the Unit Managers and direct-care staff.
