About The Position

The Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute, the only Federally recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence south of Chicago is hiring a full-time Director of Grants and Compliance. Under the direct supervision of the COO, the Director of Grants and Compliance will be responsible for aggregating/analyzing internal and external data for reporting/auditing, and coordination and oversight of all organizational accreditation initiatives. The Director of Grants and Compliance will also be responsible for overseeing the organization’s compliance program, ensuring all operations meet legal and regulatory requirements. They will administratively manage the reporting requirements of the HRSA federal grant received by the Institute.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree In healthcare administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare organization.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Accommodations will be made as necessary should employee have imposed lifting restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma green belt certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees accreditation application, reaccreditation, and continuous reporting where applicable.
  • Serves as main point of contact for accrediting bodies.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to assist management in making effective and timely business decisions.
  • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics.
  • Work with leadership team to ensure everyone understands the requirements of accreditation and are meeting needs for their departments.
  • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Oversees quality improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Serves as a member of the Quality Management Committee to continually drive program goals and initiatives (.1 FTE).
  • Complete annual attestations for CMS Fraud Waste and Abuse compliance per payer including payer required specific trainings.
  • Coordinate Policy and Procedures reviews, as required by accreditation.
  • Monitor emails from FDA, HRSA, & IDFPR daily for changes applicable to BCDI and communicate applicable changes to executive leadership.
  • Review Drug Supply Chain and Security Act annually for updates and communicate to executive leadership as appropriate.
  • Prepare all required HIPAA breach notifications and annual report.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding various new patient appointment concerns including non-legal guardian, documentation review, re-establishing patients, and other compliance related concerns.
  • Oversee completion of HHS annual Compliance and Risk assessment.
  • Attend annual Regional Compliance meeting.
  • Review state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to BCDI service lines and communicate changes that affect the organization with executive leadership as appropriate.
  • Complete grant writing and reporting for federal grants received by the Institute.
  • All other job duties and functions as assigned.
