About The Position

Lead accreditation activities and operational oversight for a new institutional sponsor of graduate medical education (GME) programs. Participate in strategic planning, compliance, and administration across Franciscan Alliance hospitals, and manage an effective, centralized GME office. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree - Required
  • 5 years Business Administration experience - Required -OR- 2 years Graduate Medical Education or Business Management experience - Required

Responsibilities

  • Execute a multi-year graduate medical education growth plan aligned with health system strategy.
  • Oversee residency and fellowship program applications, site visits, and data submissions.
  • Manage GME office operations and lead a GME team.
  • Implement GME policies and monitoring processes, including but not limited to those governing resident and fellow work hours, supervision, due process, patient safety, and onboarding and credentialing processes.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), participating sites, medical school partners, and health system leaders.
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of program directors, core faculty members, and program coordinators.
  • Support faculty development and GME assessment practices.
  • Create and manage budgets for the centralized GME office and support program-level financial planning.
  • Participate in cost reporting of resident/fellow full-time equivalent (FTE) positions for Medicare reimbursement.
  • Develop systems and processes that support resident/fellow, faculty, and staff member well-being and professional development.
  • Support the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) by managing agendas, membership, logistics, and meeting minutes in compliance with ACGME requirements.
  • Support the clinical integration of GME across Franciscan Alliance hospitals.
