About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Global People Operations to lead and scale people operations across the United States and Europe. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role that blends strategy with execution and partners closely with executive leadership to support a globally distributed workforce. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, deep HR and People Ops experience, and proven ability to operate in compliance-heavy, international environments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of proven experience in People Operations or HR leadership roles
• Strong working knowledge of US labor law
• Hands-on experience with European labor frameworks
• Experience supporting distributed, multicultural teams
• Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in growth-stage or mission-driven organizations
• Experience scaling global teams
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR) and PEOs

Responsibilities

• Lead global People Operations across the US and European teams
• Ensure compliance with US federal/state labor laws and European employment regulations
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, HRIS, and people processes
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on people strategy and employee relations
• Partner with managers on performance management, engagement, and talent development
• Own HR policies, documentation, and people data reporting
• Manage relationships with PEOs, vendors, and local employment partners
