About The Position

We are hiring a Director of Global People Operations to lead and evolve people strategy across the United States and Europe. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate has deep experience navigating US and European employment frameworks and building scalable, compliant people operations in distributed environments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People Operations / HR leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of US labor law
• Proven experience working with European employment frameworks
• Experience supporting distributed, multicultural teams
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and PEOs
• Strong judgment, communication, and operational rigor

• Experience scaling international teams
• Background in mission-driven organizations
• Experience in remote-first environments

Responsibilities

• Lead People Operations across the US and European teams
• Ensure compliance with US federal/state labor laws and European employment regulations
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits, and HR systems
• Partner with leadership on performance management, engagement, and org design
• Manage relationships with PEOs, vendors, and local employment partners
• Own HR policies, documentation, and people data reporting
• Coach leaders on employee relations and performance matters
