About The Position

Alabama State University, Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications to fill the position of Director of Football Operations. This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing all contracts and logistics associated with all football activities and supervising, and evaluating performance of staff and ensuring completion of all project activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of related experience required

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative, budgetary and planning duties for the football program, working directly with the Head Coach, Football and the football staff to include all aspects of football operations/administration
  • Ensure that the football program operates in full compliance with the university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Advance person for team travel
  • Hold responsibility for final execution of team travel plan involving hotel accommodations, travel site transportation (busses, vans, trucks, etc.), and postgame meal; during home games, responsible for final execution of home game operations
  • Assist the football staff with recruiting weekends and game day recruiting functions; coordinate travel arrangements for incoming recruits during all official visits, including meals, hotels, and travel
  • Direct and manage assigned work-study personnel on game day, and on day-to-day recruiting operations; generate the necessary paperwork required by the NCAA
