At The Dewberry Charleston, food and beverage is central to who we are—thoughtful, elevated, and deeply connected to place. We are seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to lead and shape a dynamic, multi-outlet program at one of Charleston’s most distinctive luxury hotels. This role oversees the full scope of Food & Beverage operations, managing both front and back of house with a strong focus on consistency, quality, and financial results. Key priorities include launching a new signature restaurant, guiding two acclaimed, award-winning lounges, refining the in-room dining experience, and partnering closely with banquets and catering. A highly visible leader, this individual will collaborate with senior leadership and ownership to set strategic direction while remaining actively involved in daily operations. Success requires both creativity and discipline—enhancing the guest experience while maintaining strong control over profitability, costs, and operational standards. The ideal candidate brings proven experience as a Director of Food & Beverage in a luxury hotel or resort setting. Candidates with backgrounds as an Executive Chef, Beverage Director, or Restaurant General Manager will also be considered if they demonstrate success with new openings, strong financial acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Experience owning or operating a concept is a plus. We are looking for a leader with presence and perspective—someone who motivates teams, leads from the floor when needed, and understands the nuances of exceptional hospitality. A passion for quality, a hands-on approach, and the ability to drive both culture and performance are essential.
