About The Position

The Nutrition Group is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations within a K-12 school district. The role requires leadership experience and a background in food service management and compliance. The Director manages school menus, food costs, budgets, inventory, staff, accounting and reporting, and communication with school district administrators and officials. The role follows a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of proven staff management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain necessary clearances and pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Food service industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage school menus in compliance with USDA and state guidelines.
• Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
