About The Position

Legends Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Director of Food and Beverage for INTRUST Bank Arena and Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center. This role involves directing and coordinating all food and beverage operations, including concessions, bars, warehouse, kitchen, suites, and catering. The Director will manage daily operations, complete required reporting, and ensure the success of food and beverage services for clients and facility events.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality/Food Service, Management, Business, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Food and Beverage management level position including financial management skills
  • Catering management experience is required
  • Experience in a multi-purpose entertainment facility preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding customer service and quality standards required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with POS software used in F&B, and Clover Sport
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the entire food and beverage operations at INTRUST Bank Arena and Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.
  • Manage daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department, including Concessions and Bars, Warehouse, Kitchen, Suites and Catering.
  • Complete required reporting for Regional Managers and Legends Global Corporate.
  • Market Food and Beverage Services to clients and establish Food and Beverage controls.
  • Create Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.
  • Develop event work plans, including scheduling, ordering, and assigning duties.
  • Review food and beverage lists to ensure sufficient items are ordered weekly.
  • Oversee Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain cost and quality control standards.
  • Inspect food service facilities to ensure compliance with health laws and internal regulations.
  • Analyze operational information (e.g., daily sales, patron attendance, labor costs) for budgeting and cost control.
  • Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality and sanitation standards.
  • Reconcile accounts and generate post-event reports for finance.
  • Support other Legends Global accounts when appropriate.
  • Manage the Food and Beverage budget to maximize revenues and control costs.
  • Attend weekly Director Meetings and Production meetings, and lead department staff meetings.
  • Handle supervisory responsibilities, including evaluating employee performance, recommending promotions, raises, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Perform managerial functions: planning, organizing, communicating, supervising, scheduling.
  • Work with all departments to ensure a quality experience.
  • Serve on the security committee and assist with planning and implementing table top exercises.
  • Participate in the event MOD rotation.
  • Ensure accurate employee timekeeping and approve hours for payroll reporting.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Serve as a resource for Legends Global management at other facilities.
  • Pass a background/credit check.
  • Work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their units.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
