About The Position

The Concessions Manager is responsible for overseeing the concessions operations of the arena facility, including managing food preparation and service for multiple concessions and portables. This role also involves inventory control, staff management (hiring, scheduling, training), and providing premium services and backstage catering. The position requires a strong focus on cost control, revenue generation, and ensuring a positive customer experience while adhering to all relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue, and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate constant change.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to train workers in food preparation and cooking.
  • Ability to manage several direct reports.
  • Must be able to pass a background/credit check.
  • 1 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, and Outlook Microsoft 265.
  • Experience with POS software used in F&B, preferably Clover Sport.
  • Experience with recruiting software and timekeeping software, ABIMM preferred.

  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervise concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up.
  • Assist in the training of concessions employees to ensure high quality, efficient, and profitable food service.
  • Create a positive customer experience and maintain a pleasant attitude.
  • Purchase concessions product in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, based on anticipated demand and public taste.
  • Determine menu and pricing in collaboration with the Director.
  • Direct food storage, preparation, and serving of retail products.
  • Assign concessions workers to locations.
  • Tabulate receipts, balance accounts, and generate financial reports.
  • Conduct daily inventory of all products in concession stands.
  • Work within established food and labor cost guidelines.
  • Comply with Corporate initiatives, Health Department, and ABC regulations.
  • Schedule team using ABIMM for events and day work.
  • Provide premium services and backstage catering to Capitol Federal Amphitheater.
  • Staff and manage the team working at Capitol Federal Amphitheater for events and catering.
  • Oversee all NPO groups, including scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, and contract management.
  • Complete monthly cash handling procedures, including reconciling petty cash and vault.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
