About The Position

PLM Fleet LLC d/b/a PLM Trailer Leasing ("PLM") is the largest nation-wide, technology-driven company dedicated to refrigerated trailer leasing and cold supply chain solutions. PLM’s services include new trailer leasing, new trailer design and OEM ordering, short term leasing of existing trailers, flexible rental options, onsite maintenance, emergency breakdown service, GPS, and temperature management, and even lifecycle cost savings for its customers. As the Director of Fleet Consulting, overseeing a team of consultants and analysts, you will be highly visible, create value, drive growth, expansion, and retention while providing a world-class consulting experience to uncover opportunities and deepen relationships with clients. You will work hand in hand with clients, sales and account teams to develop and implement strategies focused on reducing cost of ownership, increasing efficiencies, and improving fleet programs across the lifecycle. As a valued member of the client relationship, you will develop, implement, and lead the consulting engagement that supports each client’s unique fleet needs. Further, you are skilled at providing meaningful data, analysis, scorecards, and strategic reviews to support data driven decisions for a portfolio of clients, and will be responsible for PLM’s fleet reporting and BI functions to provide internal business intelligence analysis for strategic initiatives and critical business needs. You will participate as a PLM expert representative at industry events, conferences, and industry media opportunities providing thought leadership to clients and the marketplace. Through your integrity and adoption of PLM’s client centric focus, you will drive growth with the goal of developing lifetime relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience overseeing cross functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
  • Experience in Equipment Leasing, Fleet Leasing, Fleet Management required.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate economic change into business opportunity
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to analyze and interpret contractual, financial, technical, operational data into action.
  • Advanced presentation abilities for interactions with all levels of the organization and with Senior Leadership and clients
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel and Office suite of tools and the ability to utilize the tools for data modeling and consultative analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee consulting team and lead the ongoing consulting engagement process for a portfolio of PLM accounts
  • Engage with all levels of the client organization, from day-to-day stakeholders to C-level executives to effectively and proactively provide data driven insights, financial & operational solutions and cost savings strategies enabling customers to make effective business decisions on their fleet program.
  • Create, standardize and utilize scorecards, report cards, and ad hoc analysis as a mechanism to engage clients in meaningful consultative engagements.
  • Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, compelling business cases that accelerate deal closure.
  • Proactively monitor marketplace trends in applicable segments and geographic markets and translate market dynamics into opportunities for clients.
  • Partner with sales and account management teams to implement initiatives resulting from consultative client engagements.
  • Provide ongoing training and knowledge sharing with PLM commercial lease and rental teams.
  • Actively participate and contribute to in industry groups, events, and media opportunities.
  • Oversee fleet reporting team to develop and deliver highly visible business intelligence analysis, options, and recommendations informing direction on critical strategic initiatives.
