Harrisburg School District seeks a forward-thinking Director of Technology to lead and shape technology across its schools. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in network administration or a similar role
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
• Self-direction, organization, and adaptability
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting schools
• Enjoys both big-picture planning and hands-on work
• Finds purpose in supporting students and educators

Responsibilities

• Lead district technology planning, purchasing, and implementation
• Maintain and support networks, servers, devices, and software systems
• Oversee cybersecurity, user access, and data systems
• Provide training and support for staff across all programs
• Manage infrastructure, including VOIP, security cameras, and access systems
• Coordinate with ESD and external vendors
• Maintain inventory, licensing, and system documentation
• Support instructional technology and classroom systems
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
• Attends work regularly and is punctual
