ABOUT THE ROLE We’re seeking an experienced and service-oriented Director of Financial Services to lead all aspects of financial operations within our community. From billing and budgeting to audits and reporting, you’ll be a key player in driving fiscal health and organizational success — all while mentoring a team and supporting resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficient in financial software, spreadsheets, and general ledger systems
  • A professional, compassionate demeanor and ability to connect with residents and staff
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all interactions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions including G/L, A/R, A/P, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Manage billing for independent living, assisted living, and health center residents
  • Ensure compliance with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
  • Monitor and report on aging accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on delinquencies
  • Lead and develop accounting team members through hiring, training, and mentorship
  • Support department heads with financial insights and collaboration
  • Verify Medicare billing and authorizations
  • Coordinate year-end financial processes and audit readiness
