About The Position
Mister Sparky is looking for a Director of Financial Operations who understands both numbers and sales. You’ll oversee financial operations, lead and monitor the accounting team, help the sales team close more business, and build a clear 1–3 year forecast for company growth. This is more than an accounting role. We need a leader who can manage the numbers, improve sales, close deals, and help drive the business forward.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of financial management experience
- Strong accounting and financial analysis skills
- Proven sales and closing skills
- Experience coaching or training sales teams
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to turn financial data into clear business decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
Nice To Haves
- SAGE Intacct and/or QuickBooks preferred
- ServiceTitan experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor the accounting team and daily financial operations
- Review P&L, cash flow, job costs, margins, and financial reports
- Build and manage 1–3 year financial forecasts and growth plans
- Track budgets, spending, and company performance
- Help set pricing and improve job margins
- Broker financing and payment options for customers
- Help close larger jobs and improve sales results
- Train and coach team members on how to close
- Partner with leadership on hiring, fleet, expansion, and growth plans
- Monitor financial data between ServiceTitan and accounting systems
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance
