Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in public accounting performing audits.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Must be able to work independently using experience-based problem solving.
CPA required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Sage, ADP, or similar accounting and payroll software preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise payroll and accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Prepare budget-to-actual analyses, financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Lead annual budget development and support strategic financial planning initiatives.
Administer consumer trust funds and representative payee processes, including coordination with the Social Security Administration.
Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Social Security, and other funding source requirements.
Support annual audit activities and preparation of required financial schedules and documentation.
Oversee 1099 processing and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Provide leadership, training, and performance oversight for payroll and accounts payable staff.
Collaborate with internal departments to support operational and financial objectives.
