About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Director of Finance to lead all financial operations for our growing multifamily portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. This position works closely with the COO and ownership, playing a key role in driving performance, improving systems, and supporting acquisitions and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily or property management finance
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Leadership experience (Controller, Director, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of NOI, Balance Sheets, GL, budgets, and distributions
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting
  • Knowledge of real estate accounting compliance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Positive, energetic leadership style
  • Strategic and hands-on ability

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with AppFolio preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial and accounting functions across the multifamily portfolio
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Prepare and review investor reporting packages and capital accounts
  • Monitor and drive NOI performance across properties
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Manage cash flow, distributions, and lender reporting
  • Oversee multi-entity accounting structures(LLC per asset)
  • Build, manage, and mentor the accounting team
  • Coach,train,anddevelopdepartmentstafftoimproveperformanceandgrowth
  • Establish and improve internal controls and financial processes
  • Partner with the COO and ownership on acquisitions and strategy
  • Coordinate with CPAs, lenders, and third-party partners
  • Oversee financial compliance related to real estate operations
