About The Position
Supervises and directs the financial activities of the hotel, safeguards the assets, and prepares all financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Crescent Standards. This role involves interviewing, hiring, training, and managing staff, as well as monitoring and approving all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the hotel. The Director of Finance analyzes financial data to advise hotel management and ensure efficient operations, prepares and presents monthly reports, and develops forecasts and budgets. Additionally, this position oversees contracts and legal agreements, assists in maintaining licenses and permits, and establishes and audits internal financial controls. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential for providing clear direction to staff. The role requires compliance with attendance rules and availability to work regularly, along with performing any other assigned job-related duties.
Requirements
- Five years' experience as a Director of Finance or Controller in a full-service hotel.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the financial activities of the hotel.
- Safeguard the assets of the hotel.
- Prepare all financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Crescent Standards.
- Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
- Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the hotel.
- Analyze financial data of operations to advise hotel management and assist in maintaining an efficient operation.
- Prepare, review, and present the Monthly Report of Operations.
- Prepare forecasts and budgets as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, and/or on Crescent/Owner's requests).
- Oversee all contracts and legal agreements.
- Assist hotel management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance, and contracts.
- Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, hotel equipment, master keys, and associates time records.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
