LAWS also plays a key role in coordinating community response teams for domestic abuse, sexual assault, and child abuse. The need for services has grown significantly, with a substantial increase in dangerous abuse incidents and homelessness caused by domestic violence. LAWS is committed to never turning a survivor away and ensuring that 73 cents of every dollar goes directly to services, earning it recognition as the Best Nonprofit in Loudoun for 2025. The Director of Finance and Operations is crucial in stewarding the organization's resources, ensuring sound finances, compliant grants, and efficient operations to uphold the mission and maintain the trust of funders and the community.
