As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director of Finance and Controller to join our team! This position will oversee the whole accounting department and will consult and collaborate with internal and external teams, coordinating processes and requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of analysis, business cases and project updates. This person must have supervisory and leadership experience.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Strong background in overseeing cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial operations.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools, including ERP systems and reporting software.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing and developing finance teams.
  • Track record of managing financial audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all accounting activities in the company comply with GAAP, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manages accounting operations such as payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Responsible for cost reporting to key payers including IDOA, DHS as well as ensures adherence to GATA requirements
  • Oversees systems related to finance, accounting, billing, and biweekly payroll. Responsible for 401K maintenance, W2, 1095, etc.
  • Oversees the management of the revenue cycle including A/R collections and cash flow to support operations
  • Develops financial plans and operational budgets. Prepares variance analysis and reporting the results to the executive team.
  • Supervises and develops the staff in the accounting/payroll department.
  • Ensures proper recording and reporting of all financial transactions in the company including the management of credit cards, earning distributions, etc.
  • Collaborates with the executive team in improving and streamlining the finance/accounting system and its operations.
  • Assists the COO or Director of Operations in the presentation of reports to the executive team or board of directors
  • Managing tax compliance and reporting annual financial data to key stakeholders.
