About The Position

The Director of Finance and Administration will be a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the company. This role will lead and enhance financial planning, reporting, and analytics while ensuring effective management of HR policies and procedures. The Director will manage and develop the finance and admin team, currently consisting of a Payables Clerk, an Office Manager who handles the majority of bookkeeping.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in finance and administration leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
  • Experience in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and data visualization to improve financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising finance/admin teams.
  • Proven ability to develop financial strategies and improve business performance.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management, cost accounting, and quoting processes.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and payroll management.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee financial planning, cash-flow, budgeting and forecasting to ensure long-term financial health.
  • Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial and operational metrics.
  • Oversee financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Improve inventory management processes to optimize cash flow and reduce waste.
  • Manage and refine the quotation and pricing process to ensure alignment with profitability goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement using AI and data-driven analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and reporting obligations.
  • Supervise and lead the finance and administrative team, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR compliance with labor laws.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to enhance company culture and workforce engagement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
  • Manage vendor contracts, insurance policies, and other administrative functions critical to business operations.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and reporting tools to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of BI tools, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility across departments.
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations and President to align financial and operational strategies.
  • Establish strong financial controls and risk management practices to support sustainable growth.
