The Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is a nationally recognized leader in clinical care, research, and education related to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and co-occurring psychological health conditions. MIBH provides specialized, evidence-based care to active-duty service members, Veterans, and first responders with persistent and complex symptoms following TBI. MIBH delivers care through a structured Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that includes comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and individualized treatment planning. Care is provided through a co-located interdisciplinary team model that integrates conventional Western medicine with evidence-based integrative therapies. The Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH) Director of Finance & Administration (DFA) is an in-person position and serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for the financial stewardship, administrative infrastructure, and long-term sustainability of the Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH). This role is central to advancing MIBH’s mission to deliver world-class care for service members, veterans, and others impacted by traumatic brain injury (TBI), with a strong emphasis on innovative care models supported by philanthropic investment. MIBH operates within a complex funding model that includes philanthropic support, clinical revenue, grants, and institutional funding. The DFA plays a critical role in advancing a sustainable financial future by diversifying revenue streams, optimizing financial performance, and strengthening operational systems. A central priority of this role is expanding earned revenue through insurance reimbursement and enhancing revenue cycle performance. This includes leadership in billing, coding, and reimbursement optimization to support scalable, high-quality clinical care. This position represents a unique opportunity to help guide a nationally recognized brain health institute through a pivotal period of growth transitioning from a predominantly philanthropic model to a balanced, sustainable enterprise while preserving innovation and mission impact. The DFA partners closely with the Executive Director, MIBH Leadership, clinical leadership, CU Medicine, and University stakeholders to align financial strategy with clinical operations, research expansion, and national impact.
