About The Position

Tournesol Siteworks is seeking a Head of Finance and Administration to join their executive leadership team. This position will oversee the Accounting Team, the Employee Success Team (HR), and the IT Team, including operations in Mexico. The role is responsible for all financial and administrative services, providing leadership for the finance and admin teams, and participating as a key member of the executive staff. The Head of Finance and Administration will lead financial and strategic planning efforts, support other team leaders, and contribute to the organization’s growth by driving operational excellence, consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes standardization across locations, cross-site coordination, and resource optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration required
  • 7 to 10 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally
  • Familiar with revenue and expense laws in multiple states and international
  • Strong knowledge in financial modeling, forecasting, cost accounting and advanced Excel usage
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, like NetSuite
  • Ability to run effective meetings and facilitate group discussions, to lead decision-making processes
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
  • Excellent problem-solving and data driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Manufacturing or construction background preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, supervise and lead finance, IT, and HR team members
  • Ensure Tournesol’s financial integrity and accountability and maintain internal controls
  • Oversee timely monthly, quarterly and yearly management financial reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Oversee outside audit and review activities
  • Coordinate with executive staff to create, update and manage Tournesol’s annual budget
  • Provide guidance to executive staff on strategic business directions through financial planning, analysis, forecasting, developing scenarios to inform decision making and advising on key directions
  • Participate in corporate policy development as member of the senior management team
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls, financial systems and procedures, with an eye toward financial risk assessment
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Oversee employee success function, including recruiting and hiring, benefits administration, employee onboarding communication and retention, in conjunction with executive staff and employee success manager
  • Oversee corporate risk management and legal activities, coordinating with outside providers to determine appropriate procedures and coverages, review contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage and oversee Tournesol’s Information Systems and Technology strategies, working with the internal IT administrator and third-party outsourced vendors
