About The Position

The Director of Family Stability is responsible for leading, managing, and ensuring accountability within their designated team. This role involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert, advancing evidence-based practices and replication, and cultivating partnerships with funders, stakeholders, and the community. The Director will translate agency vision into actionable plans, provide strong leadership to program managers, and drive performance to ensure high-quality, mission-aligned services. They will model agency values, foster a culture of excellence rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, and ensure the fiscal health of programs by reviewing financial statements and participating in the budget process. Additionally, the Director will ensure that Resource Planning, Financial Coaching, and Emotional Resiliency models are integrated into department services, staying informed on community needs and trends to support internal decision-making and external representation. They will also champion evidence-based models, integrate data and research into program design, evaluate outcomes, and lead replication or scaling efforts. A key part of the role is serving as a program ambassador, maintaining strong relationships with community partners and referral sources, and supporting advancement efforts by communicating program value.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in social work or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in managing professionals in a service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate agency vision into an actionable plan, including clear program vision, priorities, and metrics for your team.
  • Provide strong leadership by providing clear LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability) to program managers.
  • Drive performance to ensure teams deliver high quality and mission aligned service.
  • Model agency values and foster a culture of excellence and accountability always rooted in Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Ensure program fiscal health by regularly reviewing financial statements and participating in the budget process.
  • Align resources and remove barriers to drive consistent, high-quality implementation across teams.
  • Hold managers accountable for program implementation to ensure services are effective, efficient, and achieving intended client outcomes.
  • Ensure Resource Planning Model, Financial Coaching and Emotional Resiliency Model are integrated into department services.
  • Maintain necessary knowledge of agency service area and community needs.
  • Stay informed on resource trends and challenges prevalent throughout service area.
  • Utilize knowledge and skill set to support internal decision-making, staff development, and external representation.
  • Provide guidance and consultation across the agency, contribute to strategic initiatives and ensure that program practices reflect deep expertise and professional excellence.
  • Strengthen program effectiveness by championing the agency’s evidence-based models.
  • Integrate data, research, and evaluation into program design and daily operations to ensure fidelity to proven methods.
  • Evaluate outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement & innovation.
  • Lead agency replication or scaling efforts with fidelity, ensuring program models remain impactful and sustainable.
  • Working with the Head of Client Services and Assistant Head of Client Services, develop new lines of services related to advancing the CCFW mission in given expertise area.
  • Serve as a visible program ambassador with funders, partners, & community leaders that will grow the program reach & impact.
  • Ensure community partners align with agency priorities and Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parish referral partners, ensuring that the process is streamlined and impactful.
  • Cultivate community partnerships that remove service barriers and enhance support for your team.
  • Support Advancement Team and strategic funding opportunities by representing the agency externally, communicating program value.
