The Director of Facilities and Sustainability provides strategic leadership for the planning, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the museum's physical campus while advancing sustainability initiatives that support the museum's mission. This position oversees building operations, engineering, maintenance, utilities, custodial services, grounds, facility services, sustainability programs, environmental compliance, and facility-related capital projects to ensure a safe, resilient, efficient, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, volunteers, and the museum's collections. Working collaboratively across departments, the Director ensures that all building systems support world-class exhibitions, collection stewardship, educational programming, public events, and administrative operations, and align with the museum's long-term strategic goals.
