Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Division of Libraries' physical spaces, building operations, maintenance, and capital projects. Serve as the primary divisional partner for day-to-day facilities matters and the long-term stewardship of the Libraries' physical footprint. Support a wide range of spaces, including common areas, study environments, offices, specialized collections and research centers, classrooms, galleries, event spaces, and high-density storage facilities. Work collaboratively with the Libraries’ Senior Leadership team, departments, staff, and committees, as well as central campus partners such as Capital Projects and Facilities and Campus Safety. Build strong working relationships across these groups to identify needs, coordinate solutions, and maintain spaces that are safe, accessible, welcoming, and functional for the NYU community. Lead the development and implementation of the Division of Libraries' Comprehensive Space Plan with key stakeholders. Ensure that library environments continue to adapt to the evolving needs of students, faculty, and researchers. Lead the Libraries’ Facilities Operations team, oversee the facilities budget and externally allocated funds, gifts, and grants, and manage vendor contracts and relationships. Provide reports and updates to Libraries’ Senior Leadership and other stakeholders. Coordinate emergency preparedness and building-level response planning to protect the community and safeguard the Libraries’ collections and assets.
