Director of Event Sales Development

Puttery•Miami, FL
•$70,000 - $85,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Director of Event Sales Development is responsible for driving event revenue and expanding Puttery Miami's presence throughout the South Florida market. This is an outreach with intention sales role. Success means more than responding to inbound inquiries. The Director is expected to actively create business by building a strong local network, developing their own book of business, reconnecting with past clients, prospecting new opportunities, and becoming a visible representative of Puttery throughout the community. From corporate outings and holiday parties to celebrations, social events, networking functions, and large-scale buyouts, this role connects people with an experience they will want to return to and recommend to others. The Director owns their sales goals, pipeline, relationships, and results. The expectation is simple: know the market, know your clients, create opportunities, follow through, and grow the business. Goals establish the target, not the ceiling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, business development, outside sales, venue sales, or a related revenue-generating role.

  • Ability to independently organize priorities, maintain consistent follow-up, and move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations, asking for business, requesting referrals, and re-engaging previous clients.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, event-management, or sales-tracking systems. (We use tripleseat)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with venue operations and cross-functional partners.

  • Take ownership of individual and venue event-sales goals and develop actionable strategies to achieve and exceed them.
  • Maintain an active, healthy pipeline across prospecting, qualified opportunities, proposals, booked events, and future business.
  • Consistently evaluate pipeline strength and identify where additional outreach is needed.
