About The Position

The Director of Evangelistic Media and Communications supports the mission of Saint Andrew Catholic Church and the Diocese of Fort Worth by planning, producing, and managing parish communications across digital, print, and in-person mediums. This role integrates creative design, content development, technical execution, and project coordination to ensure clear, consistent, evangelizing communication for parishioners, visitors, and the wider community.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, media studies, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience in parish communications, graphic design, media production, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere); experience with parish management software preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, follow directives, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse audiences.
  • Good judgment, conflict de-escalation skills, and servant leadership qualities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Customer service mindset with a mission-driven attitude.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Establish professional working relationships with clergy, staff, ministry leaders, vendors, Catholic talent, and parish volunteers.
  • Demonstrate proactive, adaptable problem-solving and leadership.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on recurring and special projects.
  • Clarify instructions, deadlines, and expectations with supervisors.
  • Proofread and edit communications for accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, and Catholic teaching and parish standards.
  • Ensure all content complies with copyright law; remove or correct any content posing copyright risks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional Catholic conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with parish staff to ensure ministry needs are met regarding digital updates and content production.
  • Create and send communications utilizing current parish communication applications.
  • Send targeted email communications to parishioners and internal audiences as needed.
  • Produce and manage graphics, flyers, posters, ads, slide decks, and digital assets for parish ministries and events.
  • Maintain the parish Evangelistic Media calendar, posting schedule, analytics, and content standards.
  • Create, edit, and publish multimedia content including photos, videos, livestream clips, and parish announcements.
  • Work with clergy, staff and ministry leads to prepare, shoot, edit, and post video content; schedule recording sessions and prepare scripts/materials well in advance.
  • Upload Narthex monitor content and coordinate with designated staff for slides and updates.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all parish platforms.
  • Oversee presentation, maintenance, design, and regular updating of the parish website in alignment with the Pastor's and Business Manager’s vision.
  • Review all content submissions for quality, accuracy, tone, and compliance with Catholic teaching.
  • Post approved updates in a timely manner and remove outdated content promptly.
  • Designs and maintains content architecture that allows users to locate key information efficiently.
  • Coordinate with website vendors for updates, maintenance, upgrades, and support.
  • Maintain access controls and ensure relevant staff know how to navigate website tools.
  • Hold administrative permissions to all parish social media accounts.
  • Assist clergy, staff, and volunteers in constructing, editing, and posting high-quality, evangelizing content.
  • Ensure all posts faithfully represent Catholic teaching and avoid content that is misleading, inaccurate, or inconsistent with Catholic teaching.
  • Respond promptly to concerning or harmful activity on parish accounts.
  • Improve social media presentation and engagement through strategy, design, and analytics.
  • Take and edit photos and videos of parish events.
  • Produce multimedia content for use in bulletins, the website, social media, and other digital communications.
  • Coordinate with vendors when professional-grade recording or printing is required.
  • Maintain and organize the parish’s digital asset library.
  • Take staff photos and official portraits as needed.
  • Manage slide deck presentations and television screen content in the Narthex.
  • Ensure messaging is timely, accurate, and visually consistent.
  • Maintain redundant knowledge of livestream operations and sound equipment to ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Help plan and coordinate parish-wide events including promotions, signage, communications, and media coverage.
  • Create door signs, posters, programs, invitations, and other materials as needed.
  • Maintain Facebook “Events” and similar tools to keep parishioners informed.
