The Gund Company is searching for an experienced Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead the next chapter of our global EH&S strategy. Requirements
- Multi-site manufacturing EH&S leadership experience.
- Experience building and executing enterprise wide EH&S strategies.
- Expertise in compliance, risk management, and safety management systems.
- Strong business acumen and executive communication skills.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- A track record of improving safety culture and organizational performance.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Ability to influence leaders without formal authority.
- Ability to balance operational needs with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to create buy-in, drive accountability, and build systems that last.
Responsibilities
- Build a unified global EH&S strategy that supports a growing manufacturing organization.
- Develop enterprise-wide safety standards, governance processes, and accountability systems.
- Foster a culture where safety is not a program, but a leadership expectation.
- Create scalable compliance and risk management systems that support future growth and acquisitions.
- Implement robust environmental and sustainability initiatives that position the company for long-term success.
- Develop the next generation of EH&S talent and leadership capability across the organization.
- Partner directly with executive leadership.
- Shape the company's global EH&S vision and roadmap.
- Modernize systems, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Support international operations and acquisition integration activities.
- Influence employee safety, environmental stewardship, and business performance.
- Elevate an established EH&S program to the next level.
